Made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes grown in the Happy Canyon AVA of the Santa Ynez Valley. The soil is a mix of sandy loam, river cobbles, and serpentine. The region’s unique climate, balancing ocean influence and sun, allows for grapes to be harvested at optimal ripeness. Lieu Dit’s Chenin is made using a combination of tank and barrel fermentation, along with native yeasts. It spends time in neutral French oak barrels (around seven months) before being racked to stainless steel and bottled.
