The Early Mountain Young Wines are just that — young, lively, fresh wines, the first of each year’s vintage — and centered on exploring the character of some of our favorite and most widely planted Hybrids in Virginia, Vidal Blanc and Chambourcin. Ben has a light touch with winemaking on these, with the express purpose of exploring the sustainability of these grapes in our climate. Fresh, juicy, vibrant, but always dry and textural — these are our choices for summer cookouts, lounging by the pool, and every-day, just out of the fridge drinking.
