Gray Ghost Vineyards:

A family owned and operated vineyard, Gray Ghost, is the lifelong dream of Al & Cheryl Kellert. Al, who has been experimenting with winemaking since 1969, landed in Virginia at the beginning of the state’s burgeoning wine industry. Moving from suburban Northern Virginia to Rappahannock County with 160 vines in 1986, they now cultivate over 8,800 vines on 13 acres. With varieties ranging from Chardonnay and Seyval Blanc to Cabernet Franc and Merlot, they produce a wide-range of award-winning wines.

It is truly a hands-on affair, every vine is personally tended to by Cheryl and every bottle is touched by Al. Beyond them, their family is also involved heavily in the winery and we are proud that their daughter, Amy, will be joining us on Friday!

For more information about Gray Ghost, including some historyabout their name, visit their website. We highly recommend that you come by and taste this wonderful example of Virginia wine!
