We are happy to introduce Two Roads Brewing, who are making their full Northern Virginia introduction this week! We have seen a few of their beers in the marketplace in the past – most notably their collaborations with Evil Twin, Geyser Gose and Pachamama Porter. Now, we are going to be able to carry their full range of beers, everything from the Ol’ Factory Pils and Lil’ Heaven Session IPA to the Road Jam Raspberry Wheat and No Limits Hefeweizen. Look for them to appear on our shelves starting today!

Two Roads Brewing Company started in 2012, like many breweries, by four friends that dreamed of starting a craft brewery. They foster a “road less traveled” philosophy in their beers and their Brewmaster, Phil Markowski – a craft beer pioneer known for his many years working at Southampton Publick House where he won over 20 Great American Beer Fest medals and being the author of Farmhouse Ales: Culture and Craftsmanship in Belgian Tradition. The other founders include Brad Hittle, who worked for both Pabst and Rolling Rock; Clement Pellani, who started at McDonnell Douglass in the F18 radar lab but has worked at Labatt USA, New England Brewing Company, E&J Gallo Winery, and Pabst; and Peter Doering, who spent time at a large Connecticut shipyard as CFO before founding Two Roads.

Their brewery is in an old manufacturing building called the “U.S. Baird Building” which they saw as “a beautiful symbol of America’s past manufacturing might” and it has give them an extremely large facility that allows them to contract brew for some of the most highly-esteemed brewers in the country- Evil Twin, Stillwater, and Lawson’s Finest Liquids to name a few. Their continued growth includes a sour/barrel ageing facility that should be open in 2018.

We look forward to what they will send our way in the future!
