Stony Hill Napa Valley Riesling 2017
Stony Hill is one of the true iconic wineries in Napa. Surprisingly, they are most famous for their white wines, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Semillon, grown on the cooler spots on Spring Mountain. The fragrance is subtle and mineral driven, opening up to young stone fruit (peach, apricot) but remains so floral and spicy. Showing a suave texture, the palate reveals all the Stony Hill purity of gentle jasmine flowers and honey crisp apple characters. The acid carries to a long finish, with a perfect layer of beeswax, promising to many years of elegant aging in the bottle.
