Appearance: Summer daffodil yellow in the glass, with a glossy hue and light legs that glide as you swirl.
Aroma: Complex aromatics with lush honeydew melon, lemon oil, and fresh nectarines for fruit alongside lemon verbena and bergamot notes.
Palate: Reveals ripe peaches, granny smith apples, and lemon zest. Crisp acidity with a medium mouthfeel, along with subtle notes of minerality and steeped sancha tea.
FOOD PAIRINGS
The 2022 Iris Chenin Blanc is a bright, versatile, and extremely drinkable wine that is upping nicely on release and will offer added complexity in a few years. Try it with roasted salmon, braised scallops, or cornish hen. Summer salads and pasta with pesto are also great pairing ideas.
