During vinification, the wine undergoes a carefully controlled process. The fermentation takes place in concrete vats, without the use of selected yeasts. The maximum fermentation temperature is maintained at 30°C, and temperature control is employed to ensure optimal conditions for the transformation of grapes into wine. The maceration period lasts for 15 days, allowing for the extraction of flavors and tannins from the grape skins. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation, contributing to its smooth and rounded character.

Following fermentation, Le Ragnaie Troncone 2020 undergoes a graceful aging process. It spends 12 months in large Slavonian oak vats with a capacity of 25 hectoliters. This aging technique imparts subtle oak nuances while allowing the wine to develop its inherent character and complexity. Notably, the wine is not clarified, preserving its natural qualities. It is, however, filtered.

In terms of analytical data, Le Ragnaie Troncone 2020 boasts an alcohol content of 13%, which is in harmony with the style of Sangiovese. The total acidity is measured at 5.66 g/l, lending a refreshing vibrancy to the wine. The net volatile acidity is 0.46 g/l, ensuring a balanced and stable composition. The total sulfur dioxide is at a moderate level of 69 mg/l, with free sulfur dioxide measured at 16 mg/l. Lastly, the wine exhibits a dry extract of 27.6 g/l, which contributes to its overall richness and mouthfeel.
