Aged for 19 months in 40% new French oak, this wine is voluptuous, not only in aromatics, but in flavors. The aromas are a complex, whirling blend of lightly toasted almonds, orange marmalade, wet stones, honeysuckle and pineapple. The palate is very intense, succulent from the rich front to a finish that just goes on and on. Loaded with pineapple, peach, honey and a touch of fig and carried through the palate with a backbone of minerality.
