Though traditionally wines in Sud-Revermont in the Jura were aged under flor, Alain Labet was not a fan. He believed that oxidative ageing of Chardonnay overpowered the terroir’s nuanced nature, and as such, his wines are incredibly precise, showing the fine differences between the soils of the land. Alain’s wines drew young producers such as Les Dolomies and Les Marnes Blanches to the area, and it has since become the centre of new talent in the Jura.
