Cantine Coppo was founded in 1892 and is one of Italy’s oldest family-run wineries. Its historic, 18th-century underground cellars, known as the “Underground Cathedrals,” are a UNESCO World Heritage site. Coppo Chardonnay Costebianche is a dry, medium-bodied white wine from Piedmont, Italy, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in white, clayey-calcareous marl soils giving the vineyard its name of white slopes. It has fruity notes of green apple, white peach, and citrus, balanced by savory, creamy, and mineral elements from partial aging in stainless steel and wood. The wine is fresh, round, and pairs well with vegetables, gazpacho, and seafood. Serve ~50°F.
