This is a fruit-forward and approachable Bordeaux Rouge, produced from a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has fruity aromas, with hints of spice, earth, and tobacco, and flavors of ripe and juicy black fruits, a fresh and lasting mouthfeel, and soft, smooth tannins. The estate, with origins tracing back to the 14th century, is currently owned by Louis-Michel Musyt and Michel Bonnot, who employ modern winemaking techniques.
The 2020 vintage followed two other great years and resulted in high-quality red wines in the Graves region despite a challenging growing season that featured hot and dry conditions. Crucial rains in August helped to achieve proper ripeness. The resulting wines are pure, rich, and concentrated.
